Chateau du Pin has a long history.  Archaeological evidence reveals a foundation of a building that dates back to the 12th century. The main wing dates to the 16th century, and joins to another wing that was added in the 19th century. This architectural gem needs protection and care. It needs new windows.  Please consider participating in the 100 Windows Project by becoming a CdP FRIEND.

Chateau du Pin is registered as a Monument Historique. This designation requires heeding specific architectural standards. Most of the windows on the ground and first floor have 32 panes when restored to historically correct standards. These large windows cost 3000 Euros each and are hand crafted by a regional artisan. The original hardware is restored and reused. Of the 123 windows in the chateau we are prioritizing those in most need of repair in the main wing of the house. In recent years, we have restored eight large windows in principle rooms. Join us in meeting the challenge of restoring another eight windows in 2020.  Pane by pane we look to restore the view.
